Nostradamas predictions that came true

Michel de Nostradame (or Nostradamus colloquially) was a French physician and astrologer from the sixteenth century. He wrote more than 1,000 predictions about the world, sometimes hundreds of years into the future.
Called Les Propheties, he wrote these predictions in four line poems. They were published in 10 volumes, each of which were referred to as a ‘century’. Hundreds of years after his death in 1566, Nostradamus is believed, by some, to have predicted: the French revolution, World War Two, and the 11 September attacks on New York City.

Here are some Nostradamus predications that have come true, a few are far in the past, while others are much closer to our time.

1. The Great Fire of London in 1666

Nostradamus’ staunch believers are also adamant that Les Propheties warned Londoners about the Great Fire, more than a century before it happened.

The passage in question is: "The blood of the just will be lacking in London,

“Burnt up in the fire of '66:

“The ancient Lady will topple from her high place,

“Many of the same sect will be killed."

2. The Rise of Adolf Hitler

The prophet’s most iconic prediction is believed to be found in the following quatrain: "From the depths of the West of Europe,

“A young child will be born of poor people.

“He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop;

“His fame will increase towards the realm of the East."

Nostradamus’ cult followers interpret the “young child” to be none other than Hitler, whose rise to power in the 1930s cast terror over Europe and led to the outbreak of World War 2.

3. The atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945

In August 1945, the US unleashed the devastating power of the atom, on the Japanese industrial hubs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, in a bid to end the Pacific theatre of war in WW2.

But some have pointed out that Nostradamus may have warned this would happen nearly 500 years in advance of the devastating events.

The specific quatrain believed to contain the clues, reads: “Near the gates and within two cities

“There will be scourges the like of which was never seen,

“Famine within plague, people put out by steel,

“Crying to the great immortal God for relief.”

So, what do you think? Do you believe that these events are actually predicted by Nostradamus? Let me know in the comment section.
