I learnt a good trick to be confident everytime. We all face this, we get nervous whenever we do a difficult thing, such as giving a job interview. I read a book named "Presence." The author Amy Cuddy says that we can change our mind by posing for a few minutes. When somebody wins something and feel their success, they raise their both hands in V shape and celebrate their success.
Even blind people also do the V pose when they win. It automatically happens when we feel victory. We expand our body, when we feel confidence. Observe sad people what they do? They sit so close, they become small. Our body does that when we lose confidence, when we are unhappy. While happy people expand themselves. They sit or stand in an expanding position. Our body and mind are connected. Whatever happens in our body, affects our body. So it can be reversed too, by doing some expanding poses for a few minutes we can change our mind. Like if we raise our hands in V shape, and stay like that for a few minutes, our mind will also begin to change.
We will feel confident, the fear will be gone. It may not happen fast, but be patient. Keep doing that pose until you feel confident. Fake it until you make it. Whenever you feel nervous, try it. You can also try smiling, even if you don't want to. Fake it, after few minutes, you will really feel like smiling. It is an amazing trick which i tried several times and believe me it worked. I hope it also works for you as well.
